The Eskom Development Foundation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd, and is tasked with implementing Eskom’s corporate social investment (CSI) strategy, ensuring that every rand spent is used to good effect.
Grounded Media was appointed as the communications and PR agency for the Eskom Development Foundation tasked with implementing an integrated communications, PR and media relations strategy which required an integrated and strategic approach to showcase the positive activities to the general public.
The Foundation required PR around a number of events and initiatives undertaken across the country. In order to get an in-depth understanding of these projects, which are run across a broad spectrum of themes (including health, education, social and community development, agriculture and food security, enterprise development and environment) Grounded Media sent a team on a countrywide road trip to interview and photograph beneficiaries of all these projects.
The content gathered on this trip has been successfully used to profile the Eskom Foundation on several touch points including: media relations, PR content, collateral, advertising and digital platforms.
